Don't tell Tru that ....
…. he’s getting tired of UofM/UK comparisons.
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

Went Back And Checked UK Recruiting From 1990-2007 And 1998-2006 Compared To UK / UM Now
Pitino was UK coach from June 1989 to May 1997. He signed 33 players who collectively were 119* or 3.6* per player.
Tubby was UK coach from May 1997 to March 2007. He signed 43 players who collectively were 152* or 3.5* per player.
Gillispie as UK coach averages 3.4* (Rivals) or 3.6* (Scout) on recruits from April 2007 until now, counting future verbal commitments.
Tubby as UM coach averages over 3.5* (both Rivals and Scout) on recruits from March 2007 until now, counting verbals, too.
There is very little difference. The * ratings aren’t absolute but Gillispie is recruiting a similar level of talent to UK as Pitino or Tubby did there, and as Tubby is now doing at The U.

Tru(th) Is Hard To Deny
UK is doing well. So is Minnesota. Look for them to meet in NCAA tournament (soon).
Tubby is 29-13 in NCAA games. Gillispie is 3-4 in them. Those odds favor Tubby.

that would be outstanding
to have an NCAA tourney game between those two clubs. Man would that be fun. You know this is one of those NCAA second round match ups that the selection committee put together. Of course it will be “random” based on their 1-65 seeding process but we all know better.
what you say here can, and will, be used against you

It Will Absolutely Happen In 2009 Or 2010
Lead pipe cinch. Tubby has a better W-L record overall AND in NCAA games so odds are in Gophers’ favor.
