Do you like Chaos?

There's a possibility we could be looking at a BCS Meltdown scenario where neither of the teams in the championship game have won their conference.  There are a few interesting things that need to happen, but it's possible.

- Oregon State wins the Civil War
- Florida State beats Florida
- Texas Tech beats Oklahoma
- Florida beats Alabama in the SECCG
- Mizzou beats Texas Tech in the BXIICG

If that happens the next two teams up are USC and Texas (according to the current BCS rankings.  If that happens, get ready for the bobbleheads at the 4 letters to start yapping about a playoff.

Good thing Pres-elect Obama said last night on 60 minutes

he would throw his weight around to push for a college football playoff!

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

A playoff would work great...

If there weren’t any upsets, here’s what we’d get with the automatic conference bids (that badly need new stipulations, like being in the top 15 and less than 3 losses)

  1. Alabama
  2. Texas Tech
  3. Penn State
  4. Cincinnati
  5. Oregon State
  6. Miami

That would leave 2 spots for the following teams: #3 Texas, #4 Florida, #5 Oklahoma, #6 USC, #7 Utah, #9 Boise St. Of course, for the above scenario to happen Florida and OU would lose another game, but that’s still a touch unfair toward Utah and Boise St. since you can reasonably assume that upper level teams won’t schedule them in the fear of getting embarrassed. Perhaps President-Elect Obama should focus his efforts somewhere else, like fixing the economy, global view of America, the infrastructure, or Social Security and leave football alone.

Non BCS Teams

It is time to stop the BCS/Non-BCS nonsense. Boise State and Utah are capable of beating any of those conference champions. Yes, any of them. They are just plain better than 2, maybe even 3 of them.

I love chaos

and every year about this time I earnestly hope for the BCS Worst Case Scenario. I don’t care what it is, but whatever looks bad and gets more people on the playoff bandwagon is best for college FB.

Can we get a Cincy vs. Boise St championship game? :)

what you say here can, and will, be used against you
