Northwestern Beats Michigan St.

Nice win tonight by NU over MSU in East Lansing. This certainly makes the Golden Gophers most recent loss look a lot more legitimate. Northwestern was clearly not as bad as their Big 10 record indicated prior to the Minnesota game, but Northwestern beating a top ten team like the Spartans certainly doesn't hurt the Gophers, especially if they're able to beat Purdue tomorrow in The Barn. This NU victory just makes the Purdue all the more important for Tubby's squad. Let's go Gophers!

I knew

Northwestern would pull some upsets, I just didn’t think it would be at Michigan St.

I agree

NW’s pre Big 10 RPI was top 10 in the nation. I believe that they are way better than their first 4 Big 10 games showed…

And...

they really should have beaten Purdue. They could easily be 3-3 in the conference with wins over Michigan State, Minnesota, and Purdue. That would have been impressive.
