What Happened to Baseball Tourney?

Man, it's that time of year I check out college baseball, and start getting ready.
Given I live up here in Chaska, I'm looking at the Gophersports.com this morning, and this is the slate for the upcoming tournament the Gophers have at the beginning of March:
- Western Michigan
- South Dakota State
- Illinois State
They used to draw some great teams for this tournament, what happened???? I've been to the tourney many times over the years, and I don't get it. They're not going to get much of a draw with this group.

DQ Classic
In late Feb has 3 better known teams coming in -
- Hawaii
- UC – Santa Barbara
- Washington
I think the tourney you are looking at is less of a tournament and more of a grouping of 4 teams in the upper midwest to come together and play. Illinois State is okay by the way.
yes
the one that usually gets big name teams is the DQ Classic. That too is down this year in the quality of teams but just last season they had TCU, Tulane and Fresno. I believe all three made the NCAA Tournament. Surprisingly we won the tourney then went on to have the worst baseball season in decades.

Records:
- Hawaii 29-31
- UC – Santa Barbara 35-21
- Washington 33-22
Hawaii wasn’t quite .500 but the other 2 had very solid records, especially compared to Minnesota’s abysmal 20-35 record.
