GopherIllustrated is reporting that WR - Chris Hawkins has verbally committed to play for the Gophers next year. The three-star receiver is out of the Houston area and his Channelview HS team competes in class 5A. Hawkins had other offers from Cal, Nebraska, Arizona, Arizona St, Arkansas, Kansas, K State, Colorado, Utah and others.

Nice offer list and competes at a high level though his team isn't exactly competitive. Channelview finished 0-8 last year and is off to an 0-6 start this year getting outscored 79-210 thus far.

Hawkins

His offer list was pretty impressive. I think we can all agree that this is a good commitment.

Agreed

I think JG may even like this pick-up. We probably have 10 more to go as Brewster will add 3 extras to account for the non-qualifiers.

Yes

That’s more like it. Get kids that are wanted. Well done Brewster.
