Seantrel Henderson

I think Seantrel was at the USC game....they got trounced by Oregon.  I hope this is true, although I think USC is down on his list as the Trojans will probably go on probation for the Reggie Bush fiasco(no evidence...just my gut feeling).

Anyway....I think MN may have moved up in his selection with a disjointed and jacked up win over MSU.  I think the SDSU game will put him over the top to sign with MN.  Thats if the Gophers win...if they lose, he may end up in South Dakota....thats how it works right?

The only reason he will end up

a Gopher is if Tubby let’s him play basketball after football season is over. Otherwise my money is on OSU. I think USC is in for some sanctions and if they ban postseason play that will be a deal killer for Henderson. A man of that talent needs to be in a bowl game. I am not sure if Matta would let him play at OSU. We shall see.

There are no sanctions on the way for USC football

The NCAA can’t get anywhere with the Reggie Bush scandal b/c no one is willing to talk to them. And the basketball allegations cannot result in sanctions against the FB team.

Really?

Wouldn’t he most likely visit USC when they’re playing at home? Just asking.

I think

I think he just wanted to see SC play a good team, and they got trounced. Right now Minny is right behind OSU and slightly ahead of ND. If they beat SDSU and Illinois and keep it close against Iowa, we might be able to move ahead of OSU. And im pretty sure Tubby won’t mind a 6’7" monster coming off the bench.

His grades any good? In my experience schools aren’t doing kids any favours letting them play 2 sports. Even the really smart kids suffer. Up to him I guess.

I'm feverished, or the way you want to spell it

Seantrel made an official visit to USC when they were up in Eugene? That’s not how it works.

Seantrel’s official visit to USC is on November 27, 2009.

The coup of the century

When was the last time the Gophers ever had a 5 star recruit? Was Maroney 5 star? Barber? I honestly cannot recall. Basketball has done it on occassion but I dont think football has. If they nab Henderson it will be the biggest recruiting move ever by a Gopher team.

Another thing to think about when dreaming of landing him: Isn’t it just sick that he would be our dream come true and yet teams like Florida, Ohio St, USC, Notre Dame land like 4-5 guys like him every year!!! The difference between the haves and the have-nots in college sports is almost sadder than MLB.

Wasn’t Hayo a Rivals 5 star? Before Hayo I think it was Branden Owens (again, a 5 star for 1 of the ranking services). Not a super recruitnik so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I think Henderson would be our first consensus 5 star who is at the very top of all the different services’ rankings.

It is good to dream on indeed..,

That’ll be like landing Joe Mauer – local hometown hero.

No Rivals' 5 star

has ever committed to Minnesota. Hayo Carpenter and Brandon Owens were 5 stars at Scout.com, and are the only 5 stars on any service to ever to come here. Maroney was a 4 star on Rivals, and a 2 star on Scout. Barber was before the star rating system, but probably would have been about a 3 since he matured after high school and was a late bloomer.

Henderson is a 5 star on both Rivals and Scout. He’d be the first ever to commit as a Rivals 5 star, and only the third Scout 5 star in the history of the program.
