Hoops is right around the corner - Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook is out
We are not even half way through the football season and winter sports are just about to get started. Next weekend Gopher hockey eases into the season with a trip to North Dakota. And at the same time Gopher hoops will get their season going as the team will be allowed to officially begin practicing.
I for one am really (REALLY) excited about Gopher hoops this year. We return some very good pieces and we are adding a few very talented studs to ignite the program. I doubt this is a final four team but they will be very talented and capable of beating anyone on any given night and a Sweet Sixteen appearance is not out of the question.
Anyway the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook is hot off the presses and is a great resource to get your mind wrapped around all things NCAA Basketball. This is the Bible for preseason publications, it is uber-comprehensive and is a must-have. Blue Ribbon doesn't gloss over the 300 teams not in or near the top 25, it covers every single D1 team in the country in depth.

A year from now we'll be seeing Royce White on the cover!
Don't give up on Gopher football, but basketball is coming and the Gophers are good enough to be on the national stage. This is the best way to get yourself prepared.

I don’t know about you, but it kills me to see a Minnesota kid with an out-of-state uniform on. Case in point is Cole Aldrich on the cover of the above publication. Can you imagine him in Maroon and Gold this year.???
we hired Tubby one year too late
Monson never stood a chance.
what you say here can, and will, be used against you
I can't wait for the start of the season
Points to watch for early.
Can Nolan pick up his offensive game? He is just killing me when he has to play half court offense…or should I say not playing half court o.
Can Hoffarber refind his shot? I hope so. I would guess that his consistency left him last year because he spent so much of his effort on trying to improve his d. But that’s just a guess.
Does Maturi let Mbawke play?
How much better do the gophers looks with a more physical presence at PF with White and Mbakwe, not to mention improved rebounding? (don’t want to leave out carter).
