Marcus Fuller of the Pioneer Press has a feature article on Gopher football player and future Gopher basketball player Bryant Allen. Watching Allen, he appears to be extremely sure-handed. I'd be surprised to see him ever drop a kick return, and I look forward to seeing what he can do on the basketball team:
"I've been talking to both coaches," he said. "They said when I'm doing football, then I'm with football. If we make it to a bowl game, then during that week we get a rest I would get to go to basketball and watch. That way I won't get behind on the basketball side."
Fuller also has additional articles about Adam Weber's running game and his status as a starter, and another article about the challenges the Gopher offense faces with Purdue's offense:
Purdue ranks 34th nationally and third in the Big Ten in total offense (411.8 yards a game). Senior quarterback Joey Elliott leads the conference in passing yards per game (255.2) and sophomore tailback Ralph Bolden is second in rushing yards per game (108.2).
Adam Rittenberg of ESPN's Big Ten Blog discusses Minnesota's challenge to bounce back from the Wisconsin game:
"We have enough upperclassmen and leadership to be able to put that in the past and prepare for Purdue," Decker said. "This is a big game for us and all of us feel like this is a must-win."
Sportwriters at The Rivalry Esq. both predict a 7 point victory for Minnesota.
Notre Dame fans are excitedabout Seantrel Henderson's scheduled visit next week, despite the fact that he is visiting a team that once again is hosting USC.

2 week best case scenario
USC destroys ND. USC then loses the following week to Oregon State. Gophers beat Purdue and play PSU extremely close in a well-played game.
We'll beat Penn State
I’m going and we have never lost a road game I’ve been to.
"they're calling insane hogs???"
I had a dream the other night
that Seantrel cut down his list eliminating only USC.
what you say here can, and will, be used against you
By "extemely close"
I mean a game that could go either way. Maybe SH will keep us on his radar.
Glad the Nugz are back
I was worried about you guys yesterday.
Don't sell yourself short Judge, you're a tremendous slouch.
Just a hunch
but based on what I have seen on the FB field, I have a feeling BA can play some BB. Great set of hands, tough (remember that CAl cheap shot?), and excellent footwork. Notice how the guy is never out of position when he catches a punt. Now, whether he can do the other things, remains to be seen.
Agreed
For most of the years after the departure of Tyrone Carter you’d have to hold your breath on kickoff and punt returns. With Bryant Allen and Troy Stoudermire they appear to be solid for a few years to come. Sherels is good, too. Of all of the returners, Allen appears to be the most exceptionally coordinated. His wise decisions on whether to field or fair catch, his sure hands, and his speed make it all appear effortless.
Buck Bravo
Bryant Allen
another player that is being misused by the coaching staff. He should have been groomed immediately as a DB. He would have helped us a lot more this year playing on defense than being a fourth string WR.
Gotta disagree
with you Garrick on BA switching to the other side of the ball. But what do you think of Shady Salamon moving over?? I like SS. He impresses me as a hard-working, team-oriented young man. However, I don’t see him getting a lot of PT at RB. He is not afraid of contact and his body could handle/carry another 20 pounds of muscle. Just a thought.
I was
picturing SS as a weakside LB in the above post.
