sorry I was late with the thread

Quality opponents are so much more fun to watch than this

what you say here can, and will, be used against you

some hot game thread action

I can’t believe the board isn’t hopping for the Huskies

Hoffarber is lights out to start the game… I don’t expect 4 of 5 every game, but if can stay close to even 40-45% from 3, it will provide the team the outside threat it needs to help Nolan and Johnson penetrate and Iverson/Sampson get space in the post for the inside/outside game.

yup

he couldn’t throw it in a Barn last year and that really hurt

The score right now...

Hoffarber 17, Northern Illinois 14, Rest of Gophers 10. Sampson with a strong dunk off of a nice pass from Westbrook

Hoff's hasseling the Huskies

He’s just completely locked in right now. It’s tremendous.

Everyone fails. The successful learn from their failures. I just wish we'd quit giving ourselves so many learning opportunities.

Before we get too excited and put Gophers in the final 4

Let’s remember Northern Illinois is 258 in RPI and only the 5th best team with Illinois in their name (behind Illinois, Ill. State, Souther Ill and Eastern Ill). It is fun to watch though.

How about Elite Eight?

This team is just fun to watch. They choke the life out of opponents, and then all of the sudden they’re up 20.

Everyone fails. The successful learn from their failures. I just wish we'd quit giving ourselves so many learning opportunities.

realistically

I think Mbakwe means Sweet 16 for this team. He adds some toughness and much needed defensive rebounding inside.

Seconded

This team needs more real PFs who can rebound in order to go any farther. Plus another Guard who can consistently give you ten points a game.

Another great night for Hoffarber and the Gophers but...

I need to see this in Big Ten play

what you say here can, and will, be used against you

Cobb looked terrible tonight.

What’s up with his play. He looked out of sync and had hands of iron.
