Maybe these de-commits are understandable now.

I ask Kansas: wut?

by JG2112 on Dec 8, 2009 4:57 PM CST reply actions

I have a feeling

that this is happening. Maturi’s quotes, rumors that they don’t get along, Kansas pay-scale compared to ours, recent decommits…hmmm.

what you say here can, and will, be used against you

Is Marcus writing for "The Onion" now??

If there is one ounce of validity to that story, I might need a dementia checkup. Is this a joke???

According to Doogie and some other folks, this whole “Brewster to Kansas” meme is of Brewster’s own doing. Supposedly, he’s had his own folks call Kansas in order to drum up interest in his name and try to force the issue with Maturi regarding a contract.

This is insane. I wouldn’t be shocked if Brew was fired over this.

by JG2112 on Dec 8, 2009 7:45 PM CST reply actions

Yes, JG2112 that would be "insane"

but taking the players into consideration, it sure sounds plausible.

Best case scenario

We don’t have to pay a buyout and can use any we would have paid towards a legit coach. Plus, he gets here before the bowl game and gets a jump on trying to keep whoever is still left as far as verbals go.

Philip Fulmer? Skip Holtz? I’m still not convinced Dungy wants to coach. In any case, Maturi and administration needs to show they are serious about the football program… The state (us taxpayers) funded much of the stadium, some results must be seen, and not with a K-Mart blue light special type of coach.

Dungy is not coming

Save yourself the effort of wishing. Dungy has made it clear in interviews that he is not interested in coaching again in the NFL or NCAA right now (and probably ever).

Ya, but I’d still take Charlie Strong over Brewster. Hell, anybody with experience over Brewster.
