Around SBN: Two Minutes Of Thunder Basketball Wins The Game

Borton's Gophers Pull Upset, Move On

In South Bend for a road game against 7 seed Notre Dame to begin the NCAA Tournament, Pam Borton's Gophers were up to the task Sunday afternoon. Led by a hot-shooting Katie Ohm, the Gophers advanced to the second round where 2 seed Texas A&M awaits.

The Gophers had control of the game against Notre Dame from the early minutes and held on in front of the Irish faithful. Borton's team played with confidence. They controlled the boards and moved the ball crisply on offense. I was impressed.

Borton and her kids will face the Aggies Tuesday night at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

Way to go Lady Gophers!

I know their regular season ended on a low note, but it’s great to be headed to the second round! Good luck vs the Aggies, ladies!
