The former Duke point guard is going to give football a shot for one season. Paulus was a highly recruited QB out of high school but obviously gave up football to lose games to UNC at Duke.

Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician (link above) has been covering the potential transfer and I'm sure will cover what this means for Syracuse football (and the week 1 date with the Gophers) in greater detail in the coming days.

I think this is great for the Gophers. The kid hasn't thrown a pass since 2004 and he missed spring practices so I say bring him on for week 1. Maybe he'll be a stud, but I'm guessing week 1 will be a time to shake off the rust.
