Quick Nugz this late morning...
First of all...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tim Brewster!
Your favorite, current head coach of the Golden Gophers turns 50 today!
- Phil Miller discusses how Big Ten defenses are game-planning for MarQueise Gray.
- Marcus points out that Brewster has his team's back and at least DeLeon appreciates that. "He talked to us on Sunday, and just made us feel good about the team. He told us he had our back and that he's going to take care of us."
- The Courtesy Wave published their Minnesota Sports Misery Rankings. Congratulations to Gopher Football for winning (?).
- Hammer and Rails has their preview of Saturday's game at Purdue up already.
- WCCO is a week later than I was but they are acknowledging that the Gophers are blocking better this year and they point out that the Purdue game will be a good test.
- The Bemidji Pioneer is calling for an unpredictable WCHA this year. If that means the Gophers will unpredictably finish at or near the top then I'm all for it.
