It was a good weekend for Gopher revenue sports.

Before the Gophers beat West Virginia last night, Marcus was wondering how high should expectations be for this team. He was pointing out how message boards are trying to compare this team to the faux-Final Four team of 1996-97. That is kind of crazy, that team was full of NBA draft picks and was very deep. But it is fun to have a really good team to root for finally.

Now we get to wait to see where we are ranked. And then how high will the Gophers rise in the Star Tribune Big Ten Power Poll?

• Myron recaps the tournament title run.
• Marcus recaps the tournament as well. Those guys have it good don't they? Sure Marcus had to watch Gopher football all year but a trip to Puerto Rico can't be all that bad can it?
  
• Gopher Hockey eared a sweep too.
• Andy Katz was in Puerto Rico, I'm sure his blog will have an entry on the Gopher's win.
• Carolina March thought the Gopher loss was a bad loss to a Big 10 opponent. I wonder how he felt about losing to Vandy as well?
• Sumlin and Golden are still on the radar in the coaching search.
• Brady Hoke lost but it was close. Troy Calhoun won and finished the season 8-4. Kevin Sumlin lost. Al Golden lost.
