IMO, a name worthy of consideration as the next Gophers football coach is someone who was with the Gophers before and is familiar with the program.

That will be Ted Roof.

When he and Mike Dunbar where here, they put together a good defensive team.

Now, he is both the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at second ranked Auburn.

I don't know if he is even on Maturi's list. And I don't know if he wants to be up here or the circumstances for his leaving the Gophers in the first place.

More importantly, I think he make a fine head and it won't cost the Gophers as much as a marquee name.
