Royce White accepts plea deal
White originally faced three counts of trespassing, but two were dismissed as a result of the plea agreement.
White will have to complete 50 hours of community service within six months and must pay a $100 fine. If he does not commit a similar offense within one year, his record will be cleared.
For the life of me I can't figure out why this deal could not have been arranged when they met with the city attorney two weeks ago?!

Maybe part of the plea agreement required White to withdraw from school.
Maybe the defense attorney was more concerned about being in front of the cameras after the arraignment.
Maybe the prosecutors were told to lay off after White withdrew from school and offer a plea deal.
We’ll never know, but placing blame on the prosecutors, Tyler, or White is foolish without knowing ALL the facts and background of this case. Best to let it go.

But a sense of decorum keeps me from doing it.
Everyone fails. The successful learn from their failures. I just wish we'd quit giving ourselves so many learning opportunities.
