Marcus Fuller predicts an NIT berth for the Gopher basketball team at this link:

The Gophers' only hope for an NCAA tournament at-large bid now in next month's Big Ten tournament, the winner of which receives an automatic bid. But they can still play for pride, especially against rival Wisconsin at home Thursday. The Badgers are ranked No. 16 nationally.

Patrick Reusse interviewed Tim Brewster yesterday afternoon, and you can read a recap at this link over at Gopherhole.com.

NFL draft previews have already begun to hit the internet.  Check out an analysis of Eric Decker at this link:

Even though he is one of the more physical players coming into the draft, he does a poor job at getting off the line of scrimmage and shaking the bump and run. He also has one of the lowest YACs in this year's class, but his true asset is his sure hands. He rarely drops the ball, making him a sure-fire contender for a possession wideout position in the NFL.

The Gopher wrestling squad lost to Iowa by a score of 28-9 over the weekend.  Iowa remains undefeated.

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
