Penn State to host the Golden Gophers - OPEN THREAD
Minnesota Golden Gophers at Penn St. Nittany Lions, Feb 6, 2010 1:00 PM CST
The Gophers have exactly one true road win this season (!1!) and that was at Iowa. Today is a chance to not only get back on the winning track and notch a road win. They are in a position where it is win or completely forget about the NCAA Tournament.
They've had a week to prepare before we have a few games next week. Penn State is terrible this year and they have lost 10 straight. Let's make it 11 for the Nitany Lions.

You know the season has been a disappointment
when the game thread had one comment during the game. Wow. Still much better than the Monson years.

what a shot by Westbrook
exciting game and exciting finish. Ralph had a heck of a game. Why can’t we see that each week?

sounds like it wasn't pretty
but I’ll take road win if I can get it.
I liked Ralph’s stat line and I liked the balanced scoring with 4 guys hitting 12 or more.
what you say here can, and will, be used against you
Bonus
Would have preferred to close out a game, however, perhaps this nugget of a break will get things rolling for the guys. A little confidence back, a break to our side, and Larry getting in wisky form. heh. ; )
PS – Better game for the bigs. Controlled aggressiveness.
Quick Thoughts
We won a game that was a must win so lets not all get too excited. But you have to give Penn St. some credit for drilling a couple of threes down the stretch to tighten the game. And I really believe that Lawrence Westbrook is one of the best bad shot makers in the game. It just seems like he has a knack for making tough shots.
I don't want to jinx it but
Ralph is starting to play with some emotion. He looked pissed off during the OSU game and I’m happy to see that continue. If he continues this progression I may have a reason to get excited about the future.
More turnovers, fewer steals
That’s the dropoff from Nolen to Cobbs
