Man was that Xavier / Kansas State game incredible last night.  Terrell Holloway and Jordan Crawford were a blast to watch battle with Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente.  Big shot after big shot by all of these guys.  Great game, I love the NCAA Tournament

I can't help but think how Xavier would have done with a talented and experienced head coach at the help. Someone other than Wimpy McBadlerson, clearly he was overmatched (ed note: that was some heavy sarcasm just in case you didn't see this earlier this week.)

• Despite the current struggles by the gopher baseball team, there is no denying that coach John Anderson has been incredibly successful managing the Gophers his entire career.  This is a good article outlining his 1,013 wins.
• according to GopherIllustrated the Gophers are no longer offering a scholarship to the former verbally committed Calvin Philips.  The RB from Illinois has been rumored to have various issues and the Gophers are getting out of the way.
• Gopher football vs. Middle Tennessee State will air in ESPN U.  September 2, 6:30 PM at the Johhny "Red" Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, TN.  The city and the stadium sound corny, but this team should be taken seriously.
• Doug Wood and Frank Mazzocco will not be broadcasting your Gopher hockey games on FSN next season.
