Cobbs tells Gophers he is staying. Smith making a visit to Brust

According to several sources, one of them being Sid, Justin Cobbs told the Gophers he will stay.   He said staying with the Gophers will give him a real shot at playing.  That's one bullet the Gophers dodged.  In other news, Tubby is on his way to Illinois right now to visit with the 2nd best PG that still is uncommitted, Ben Brust.  Smith said he still has high hopes that Joseph will still choose Minnesota, but is visiting Brust as a back up plan.   Also Gophers are trying to schedule some games in Canada next year to try and get Joseph to come to the U.

Sid may be old and sometimes a bit confused...

…but he still knows Minnesota sports better than anyone and has the inside scoop.

Wonder who they will play in Canada, college teams are really not good by American standards, all the good kids go to the US. Those will be some really lopsided games, maybe they’ll play jr nat’l team or something.

I'm feverished, or the way you want to spell it

Visiting Brust doesn't look good

You don’t make a backup plan unless you see real potential for your original plan to fail. Especially when it comes to precious recruiting visits.
