Nice!
one of my favorite players. Just too bad it wasn’t with the Skins or the Vikes.
"they're calling insane hogs???"
Question
Do you think college players give much thought to the so called “hometown discount” when it comes to selecting where to sign as undrafted free agents? As in, how much of an advantage do, say, the Cowboys have when it comes to undrafted free agents seeing as how stocked full of good college programs the state of Texas is? The Vikings, on the other hand, can’t even acquire the Gophers best prospects, even though they really aren’t all that special to begin with.
Maybe the Vikes don't want them or...
being really close to a program you hear more about the flaws, especially in this market, so you might tend to shy away from the local kids.

I don't think it matters much
I think typically you’ll see the Vikings sign a Gopher or two who wouldn’t usually get a shot, but for the most part all 32 NFL teams scout thousands of kids all over the country. They know what they are doing and who they want to go after.
The Gophers that the Vikings may sign are going to be rookie camp invitees who won’t make it to training camp in August. For rookie camps they need bodies.
what you say here can, and will, be used against you The Daily Gopher
