Let the Tubby to Wake rumors begin
Alabama? - no
Virginia? - no
Auburn? - no
Oregon? - no
Georgia Tech? - wasn't open
Wake Forest? - So far this is just a list of potential candidates, but we all know how this is going to play out over the next several days. Notice the poll at the bottom, at the time of this post Tubby lead all "candidates" with 36% of the vote.

Are you putting Davidson ahead of them? ‘Cause I hope you’re not talking about State as #3! Just teasing, but Wake has clearly been the #3 program in North Carolina over the last 20 years (and over certain periods during that time even higher).
Anyway, Wake would make a good bit more sense as a potential Tubby locale than any of the other programs his name has been linked to so far (pretty much every offseason opening, it seems). Closer to his geographic roots, fertile recruiting ground, if he could keep Gaudio’s incoming class it wouldn’t be a rebuilding job so much as a get back to where Prosser had them job. Still not likely, though.
not a chance
Wake has a good program, but not many people in NC follow it. Businesses actually close and for a day and schools move the kids into the auditorium if the Tarheels have a NCAA tourney game on a Thursday or Friday. UNC, NC State, and Duke all have stronger local followings. As for the athletic programs as a whole, Wake is probably tied for 4th with ECU.

Local Media will make it sound good
They may actually ENCOURAGE Tubby to leave so Minnesota can fail.
My God,someone more cynical than I am.
Who would have guessed that an occasional dose of Sid is needed just to maintain equilibrium?
