Oh man, I haven't been able to focus at work all week. I almost forgot to put on underwear yesterday. I'm eating only foods that are maroon or gold.

I realize that some came out about Big Ten division alignment, but I have to assume that you've read most of it, so I'll spare you the links.

This is just silly.
Some guy who goes by "Zultan" thinks the Gophers will lose tonight, and also thinks that UConn will hand the Wolverines a loss.
Fuller posted a blog yesterday which you may feel inclined to check out. There was a line buried in the middle of the post that struck me as odd.

"Junior tailback Duane Bennett, who was officially named the starter today, will be the guy to rush for

1,000 yards if it's going to happen. But it won't."

HEEEEYYYYYY, would you look at that! Somebody is actually predicting a Gopher win!
Week 4 opponent, Northern Illinois, plays our last opponent, Iowa State, to open their season in Ames. Northern Illinois blog Red and Black Attack has a preview interview.
Lastly, I went to see these guys at the Minnesota State Fair last night, and I think you should take some time to enjoy "Wait So Long" by Trampled by Turtles... my current favorite song.

MERRY FOOTBALLMAS!

It appears that Zultan is a Bleacher Reporter (won’t click to confirm), so take everything he says with a truck of salt. But he’s got about half of the right idea. I like UConn’s chances Saturday.

But in Murfreesboro there will be no joy for the locals. There will only be tears and bruises and questions about what could have been.

Everyone fails. The successful learn from their failures. I just wish we'd quit giving ourselves so many learning opportunities.

I almost agree with the writer of the examiner article on the score… We’ll get 3 TDs – one rushing, one passing and one return of some kind. It may be close at halftime but the Gophers will pull away in the 2nd half, punishing the smaller linemen until they have nothing left.
