Around SBN: Roy Nelson Willing to Pay for His Next Opponent's Drug Test

Golden Nugz - 06-17-11

Just a few quick Friday Nugz...

  • Dr. Saturday is taking a look at the D1 programs with new coaches.  This week was a look at Jerry Kill.
  • Another Doc Saturday post, this time in regards to Jim Delany's insistence on "Legends" and "Leaders" as division names for the new B1G.  He s spends plenty of time giving us the definition and intent behind the "Leaders" name.  What he doesn't get is that we understand what it means, the name is just stupid for a football conference/division.
  • Gophersports.com has a pretty lengthy interview with former Gopher Hockey forward, Larry Olimb.  The Waroad native who came to the Gophers as a defenseman and left as a forward who still holds the program's career assist record.

Branding

If you have to give lectures to explain your branding you have an EPIC FAIL on your hands. Hated them from the start, but watching Delany keep trying to pitch them is just getting sad. The probably thought of them and wants them to be part of his “legacy”

What a terrible article.

All about the Gopher past and very little about Kill.

Harris would add 17 in the victory and Anthony Bennett finished with 12. Ferrell led the way for the Magic with 16 points and Nerlens Noel added 15 in an outstanding effort.
