- GopherSports.com has a new Gopher Football blog with info from Andy Seely, the U's Athletic Comm Dept. That probably just bumped us from like the 7th or 8th best Gopher blog in the world of Gopher sports to 8th or 9th but oh well. This one has some interesting info and links.
- This link comes from the link above but the Wall Street Journal published the results of a study that tried to figure out the intrinsic value of every college football program. Minnesota ranks 32nd, 8th among Big Ten teams.
- Darwin Cook of West Virginia was unkind to the Orange, who represents the Orange Bowl. Kind of funny.
- Some Big Ten basketball power rankings. It isn't very pretty for the Gophers.
- Final Big Ten football power rankings. It isn't very pretty for the Gophers. I suppose had Illinois lost their bowl game to UCLA, maybe we would have crept up a spot.
- Former Gopher Football assistant coach, John Butler has been hired on the new Penn State staff.
- SB Nation Minnesota does a nice job covering Gopher Hockey and Nathan is calling for more scoring from the second line.
- I joined the Crimson Cast to talk about tonight's Indiana game. I was pretty pessimistic and down on the Gopher basketball team.

New uni updates?
Last I heard, “mid-January” was when we could expect the new football uniforms to be unveiled. Any news or dates released as to this? You’d think it would be at least a week away from the date of any press release. And yes, I realize how sad it is that this is the only Gopher sports-related event we have to look forward to. Maybe the team is planning to coordinate the uniform unveiling withi the Feb. 1 signing day.

Season ticket holders got an e-mail about it earlier this week.
Highlights:
We will choose 20 lucky season ticket holders for this exclusive event. The unveiling will take place in the Gopher Football Locker Room at TCF Bank Stadium on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Winners will be selected this Friday. Each winner will be able to bring one (1) guest and will receive complimentary parking. ***All winners will be called this Friday afternoon to confirm attendance.
So, next Friday @ 4pm in the locker room. =)

Sure, it was probably tongue-in-cheek on your part, but this is my go-to source for Gophers news and links off of this site. There are others that are decent, but I like I can get analysis about the current teams, recruiting, live chats, and links to other sites on a (near) daily basis. As always, keep up the good work!
