Around SBN: What If This Is It For The Celtics? End Of An Era Looming

For those who thought he might be a mid-Big Ten addition, you'll have to wait till next year.

"There's no reason to have him play 12, 15 games in the Big Ten; that's not good," (Tubby) Smith said.

This late in the season

It seems like the right call. Especially with how well Rodney is doing at 4.

Good call

I’m not sure how anybody could argue against this. Seems pretty difficult to expect a significant impact from Mo this season, considering his phyisical conditioning. And with Mbakwe and Sampson both gone next season, he will be needed much more than he is right now. I hope Mo develops an offensive game, because the rest of next year’s big men (Eliason, Ingram) are sorely lacking in that department.

Plus, we’re all still bitter about Q not being redshirted by Brewster a few years ago, so I think the tendency by fans is to lean toward redshirting a guy unless it’s entirely obvious he can be a major contributor. And that’s not the case here.

Journalism. Enhanced.

Good move Tubby

based on what little I saw of Mo last year, I was impressed. For a big man, he has good footwork, nice touch/shot, and an instinctive feel for the game. Next year is promising. I just wish Dre Hollins could get some serious minutes and turn into the PG that is the missing link. Unfortunately, sounds like he is banged up.

Probably for the best

I was one who were hoping that Mo would come back and help our front court, but this is probably the right move for him and the program.

Robbie Hummel Came Back Too Early

And it cost him all last season.

Big guys (like Mo Walker) need a year to recover from ACL injury.
