• Freshman Rachel Banham is really tearing it up for the Gophers. She scored 26 on the road in a win over Northwestern last night. Pam Borton may have found herself a special point guard for the next four years.
• 1500ESPN previews the Gopher Hockey game against Notre Dame. This non-hockey guy will be attending his first ever Gopher Hockey game! I'm really looking forward to it.
• FSN profiles Joe Coleman and his slow growing role with the Gophers.
• GopherSports.com has the top 10 radio calls from Mike Grimm of 2011.
• Searching for Billy Edelin has also found Troy Bell. Remember the former Holy Angels guard who was outstanding for Boston College?
  
• North Dakota has switched over from being the "The Sioux". The men's hockey team still will sport the Sioux logo but by next year will not.
• Gopher baseball will be playing at Target Field again this season.
• Fox Sports North tells us that Rau and Bjugstad impressed at the World Juniors. Team USA did not.
