- North Dakota has switched over from being the "The Sioux". The men's hockey team still will sport the Sioux logo but by next year will not.
- Gopher baseball will be playing at Target Field again this season.
- Fox Sports North tells us that Rau and Bjugstad impressed at the World Juniors. Team USA did not.
