Gophers @ Nebraska
There didn't appear to be an actual gamethread so here is this. The Gophers head into Lincoln for the first time in conference play. After losing a tough game at Iowa, Tubby's team is once again back in a must win situation if it wants to keep it hopes alive for an NCAA tournament at large build.
The Cornhuskers are not that good and are missing their starting center Jorge Brian Diaz. Meanwhile, the Gophers have become one of the best 3 point defensive teams in major conference basketball for no reason I can possibly fathom. Hopefully, Minnesota can put this together for a win.

Elliot got the O rebound
and made it.
You’re not gonna see Ralph anywhere near that one.
and this is the last bit of Ralph bashing i’ll do
otherwise he might cry
and write slam poetry at me
In other news, Anchorage won last night!
Gophers are now up by three points in the WCHA with eight games left for everyone that matters.
Got to use this thread
to make up for all the others that haven’t been made?

Yeah
U fortunately I’m only confident about Nebraska at home and northwestern on the road.
But steals wins against Indiana and Wisconsin in Willams and we should be safely in. Heck, only one a d two wins in the conference tourney coud still do it.
They need to penetrate more, and Coleman has stopped doing for some reason. He needs to get his aggression back.
The loss to Iowa with their strange zone
has really neutered Coleman (ouch man). On the positive side, Chip’s finally getting utilized. He always brings a bit of energy to the team. Whether or not that energy is helpful or painful, it is something. Armelin can take this team on his back for short stretches and they need that.
the weird thing is
It’s not a particularly strange zone.

Tell that to Tubby
it might as well have been invented in an alternate dimension by the way the Gophs react to it.
Chip is our microwave
EE is showing a lot for a freshman. The thing that pains me is we do not have a legit PG. It hurts to say but I don’t think Dre is it either. If this team had a real PG, I mean someone who could actually penetrate and dish, get guys moving and involved, it would be a tough outfit. Don’t get me wrong, loved the win. One game at a time.
Dre is not it in my mind.
Or should I call him, “the bad one”….
23 Assists On 26 FGM
Somebody must be a decent PG today.
