GN asked what we wanted to read about on the blog during these dark days of the offseason(s). This is the next TDG post I'd like to read. Word is that the Vikings will need to play at least one (maybe more than one) season at the Bank while the new stadium is being built at the Metrodome, site. Word is that could also mean upgrades to the Gophers home field (I've read expanding the seating capacity and heating coils beneath the field) in order to bring the stadium up to NFL standards. Is all this talk legitimate? What is necessary, what is not, and what is realistic to expect if the Vikings move to campus? Presumably, construction at the Metrodome site could begin as early as January 2013, right? And if that's the case, what's with the rumors that it could be 2016 before the new stadium is ready? Anyway, there are a lot of Gopher angles here that deserve some good 'ole speculation. Any takers?
