Gophers Pick up Ohio State Transfer, Brian Bobek

Bobek played a bit as a freshman and was the presumed heir to Michael Brewster at center. But according to this spring's depth chart he was not able to crack the 2-deep. He announced his intent to transfer and Minnesota sought permission to contact him. Bobek was a 4-star OL recruit out of high school and according to ESPN he was the #3 center prospect in his class. He will have to sit out 2012 and will then have two years of eligibility left beginning in 2013.
