Two words -- Maryland. I.

More specifically, Limegrover's offense doesn't put on airs that tight ends are glorified receivers who flex out. If anything, they are de facto offensive tackles whose primary job is to knock heads with defensive ends and linebackers, moving the piling for a stable of running backs to rush 600 times a season. Wozniak is exceptionally tall for not only TE but tackle, though his feet and ability to bend for such a gangly teenager make him not only an invaluable blocker but potential red zone threat as well.

Chances to play in 2013

Iffy. Depends on whether Duke Anyanwu stays at tight end/h-back or moves over to defense. Between fullback and tight end, the Gophers return 3 with extensive playing experience (Henry, Goodger and Plsek), another 2 who redshirted (Anyanwu and Maxx Williams) and another 2 who didn't play at all (KGM, who went down with a back injury in fall camp, and Alipate).

Plus, there's the elephant in the room: does Wozniak eventually move to OT despite his dogmatic adherence to playing TE, similar to Ra'shede Hageman's recruitment four years ago?

If Anyanwu switches sides to defense and the coaches plan on keeping him at tight end, Wozniak may play as an in-line blocker. Otherwise, redshirting may be in order.
