How he fits

Santoso was an Under Armour All-American kicker and he brings not only a big leg on kickoffs/field goals but also has the capability of punting as well. He's only been kicking for a few years now and could stand to gain some more flexibility to add some more distance on his kickoffs. Has a 5 star kicking prospect from Kohl's kicking camp.

Chance to play in 2013

Reasonably strong. Jordan Wettstein graduates, so the Gophers have a void at placekicker. Chris Hawthorne is a senior and on scholarship, though he got beat out by Wettstein in 2011 after sustaining an injury that sidelined him for a couple games. Punting was also an issue (ad nausea), so he'll get more than one opportunity to make an impact on special teams.
