#Year3

Year 3 is the beginning of a make-it or break-it period for any coach. Most reasonable programs (read: non-SEC) will give a coach time to get his recruits and system into place, and the 3rd year is when you'd expect to see results as your own guys seep into the 2-deeps. But how many? A discussion with The Loon, someone whose passion I respect, in the predictions thread about the talent Wacker left behind got me digging. Just who all was left behind for the last few coaches? Have we really had any recruiters the past 30 years that didn't cheat? Well, see for yourself:

While Mason should get some credit for developing that group, I hope he has the good taste to leave some flowers at Coach Wacker's grave every year. The top-level talent and depth that he inherited when he arrived is far superior to any that a coach has had since.
