This question stood out to most, it was almost a realistic and honest answer...
Q: Your season kind of swung last year from sweet to sour. When you talk to your team, how do you balance the 7-1 start with the 0-5 finish?
A: Well, we talk about improving. We lost six games by a total of 23 points our first year and won one game. So we wanted to make significant improvement in the second year. And we did. We went to seven wins, but we also learned that we're not there yet. We've got to be a stronger, more physical football team. Those are the things we've talked about. We did some good things. But when we got into the meat of our schedule, we got exposed for our lack of depth, our youth. We saw where we needed to go. We went from one win to seven wins. What's that next jump? The jump, that's a tough jump, from seven wins to 10 or 11.
