This is it folks, the last non-conference game. Tubby Smith's alma mater High Point comes to Williams Arena for their first ever meeting with our Golden Gophers.
I'll be watching our offense for continuity, crisp ball rotation and just general poise. With the way the team is playing defense I do think they can be a big factor in the Big Ten this season if they can be even an average half-court team.
Aside from the offense, I want to see our big men dominate the glass againt High Point. Colton Iverson and Ralph Sampson III might not be able to dominate Goran Suton and Michigan State on the glass, but we must not allow second chance opportunities against inferior opponents. Let me put it this way, Al Nolen currently leads the team with 4.3 rebounds per game. Iverson, Sampson, Damian Johnson and company need to step up in this department.
