This will serve as the brief game review of the Gopher hoops squad undressing of Tennessee Tech last night.
Lawrence Westbrook scored the most points but this was a complete team effort.
- Leading Scorer - Westbrook with 22 (can he consistently hit 20?)
- Leading Rebounder - Sampson with 8 (visibly improved offensively)
- Leading Assists - Nolen with 7 (this is what we need from him all year)
- All Around Great - Johnson with 9 points, 6 steals, 5 blocks and 3 assists (this guy does everything)
- Off the Bench - Rodney Williams with 14 (Royce who?)
Overall the offense struggled, particularly from behind the arc. But they did a nice job of forcing turnovers (25) and turning those into points. Hard to get a great read on this game as Tenn Tech is just not all that good. Stephen F Austin on Monday will be a better test (they played Tennessee tough Friday night) as we get ready for the 76 Classic over Thanksgiving.
- Myron tweeted that Royce White was not with the team last night.
- Here are some post game quotes from last night's game.
- Rochester Post Bulletin wonders if you are sick of Mr. Positivity (Tim Brewster).
- Star Tribune article on the Gopher seniors and the legacy they are leaving. The assumption is they handled adversity well, I want a senior class who leaves a legacy of winning.
- Don't forget tonight's Gopher hockey match up with Bemidji State.
