Hayo Carpenter is supposedly "on his way." Marcus Fuller reported on Friday that the star, incoming JUCO, WR has his transcripts in hand and is on his way to Dinkytown.
Carpenter's coach at the College of the Canyons, Garrett Tujague, said today Carpenter should be in the Twin Cities very soon. I told him people here will be excited when he finally makes it to campus. His response was, "I'm sure." "He's on his way, (junior college) transcripts in hand," said Tujague, who watched Carpenter break all but one of the school's receiving records with 3,079 yards and 28 touchdowns on 173 receptions.
I don't anybody knows what Carpenter is going to do this season for the Gophers. Is he going to be a dynamic playmaker who takes our passing game from very good to nearly great? Or is he this year's David Pittman who comes in with great anticipation only to produce very little? You tell me (poll below).
- This is a great article on University of Nebraska-Omaha's new head hockey coach, Dean Blais. I know he is the Maverick's new coach and they'll soon be WCHA rivals but Blais is a former Gopher and this is well worth the read.
- Sticking with hockey here is a Denver Post story on Ryan Stoa.
- Here is a Bleacher Report article where the author gives the Gopher wide receivers the advantage over the Badgers secondary.
- This is AWESOME, TDG's birthday is coming up in August. If you all want to pitch in and buy one for me I will humbly accept.
