  • Marcus Fuller of the Pioneer Press weighs in on the Calvin Phillips commitment, and on the recruitment of Seantrel Henderson:
"It was just silly all the attention one report received for making it seem like Cretin-Derham Hall offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson had trimmed the Gophers off his list. Henderson's father already told ESPN.com a week earlier that his son would keep Minnesota on his list "just in case he decides to stay home." That makes perfect sense. It's exactly what other high-profile in-state players like Michael Floyd and Willie Mobley did in recent years."
  • Eric Decker comments on Marquies Gray:
"MarQueis (Gray) is one of the best athletes on this team," Minnesota wide receiver Eric Decker said of his teammate. "To use his abilities, we'll put him all over the field. We'll try to take advantage of his ability."
  • The New York Times profiles Wisconsin on The Quad Blog.  This article goes in depth regarding coaching, former players in the NFL, schedule analysis, and more.
  • Adam Rittenberg of ESPN's Big Ten Blog discusses the Gophers' wide receiver situation for this Fall:
"Yep, Decker should be the top priority for any defense facing Minnesota this year. He's a possession guy who will beat you to death with 7- to 12-yard receptions, and he's a tremendous blocker as well. Minnesota really needs to identify a legit No. 2 wideout alongside Decker, and several players could fill the void. There's a lot of hype surrounding junior-college arrival Hayo Carpenter. Brandon Green also should be more dangerous as a sophomore."
