The Gophers lost and the game recap sounds awfully familiar. Minnesota was unable to convert third downs, unable to stop the run, made some key mistakes and then picked up some late points to make the game seem closer than it really was. The loss was assumed and the play on the field was all too familiar.
But the story today has nothing to do with the game. Now we wait to see if yesterday's report about Tim Brewster's future as the Golden Gopher's head coach was accurate.
Let's assume for now that Brewster is done. It will be very interesting to see if he'll be allowed to finish out the season or if they are just going to cut the cord and let one of the current assistants take over a interim coach for the remaining five games of the season.
