At the time of writing this, there has been no news on Cory Joseph or his final college destination. But we did get a commitment. Latvian Oto Osenieks visited this weekend and he didn't leave before signing his name to be a Golden Gopher.
Osenieks is a perimeter oriented Forward.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Osenieks moved to the U.S. last year and played his senior season at Brehm Prep in Carbondale, Ill. He is Smith's fourth recruit in the 2010 class, joining Walker, Nebraska center Elliott Eliason and Tennessee guard Austin Hollins. Brehm Prep coach Aaron Lee told local Rivals.com and Scout.com that Osenieks was an excellent outside shooter and ball handler with the ability to play on the wing or in the post in the Big Ten Conference. He also considered Iowa State, Providence and Florida.
- Black Shoe Diaries points out the obvious.
- Former Gopher Hockey stars making their mark in the NHL.
- I thought this was very interesting. One coaching change has a massive domino effect that trickles down further than the mainstream media cares to follow.
- Speaking of coaching changes...is Oregon going to find anybody willing to take Phil Knight's money?
- How about this Texas High School building a 60 million stadium. A HIGH SCHOOL! Maybe the Vikes will move there if we don't build them one here.
