Just about everyone in the state is thrilled that the Twins are no longer playing baseball in the Dome. At the top of that list are John Anderson and the Golden Gopher baseball team. With the Twins gone, they nearly have free reign of the HHH turf.
This weekend while the Twins are postponing games and mother nature is giving us a mid-May snowfall, the Gophers are still playing inside. If you are looking for something to do this blustery Saturday, go nostalgic and watch some baseball under the roof.
The Gophers won the series opener 14-7 last night and now have a Saturday and a Sunday chance to win the series. Mike Kvasnicka lead the Gophers going 4/6 with a HR and 5 RBIs. Seth Rosin got the win giving up 3 earned runs in 6 innings pitched and dominating the Wolverines with 10 Ks.
Seriously, the weather is terrible and if you need an excuse to get out of the house GO TO THE METRODOME TONIGHT and watch some Gopher baseball.
