Gophers Seeking 10th Win of the Season, Hosting St. Peter's Peacocks - OPEN THREAD

Gophers vs. Peacocks in what might be the two meekest mascots in all of D1 athletics.

Game Time: 12:00 noon
TV: not on TV

Pos Minnesota Pnt/Gm Pnt/Gm St. Peters Pos
PG Andre Hollins 7.0 2.6 Brandon Hall G

As you can see below, St. Peter's is offensively one of the worst teams in D1 basketball.

Stat NCAA Rank
Point per Possession 0.898 314
Point per Game 56.0 330
effective FG% 42.4 315
3pnt FG% 26.1 320
Turnover % 23.2 261

The good news for the Peacocks is that our defense isn't typically very good so they should be able to improve upon those numbers. But I don't expect they'll improve on them enough to win. They don't shoot particularly well, they turn the ball over and because of that they don't score very many points.

This game is not on TV and it is at noon on Saturday so I wouldn't expect a whole lot of conversation, but if you are listening or watching the scores online...let this be your online, weekend water cooler.
