Enjoy today's taste of spring. 50 degrees in the metro! You know you're from Minnesota when the past couple of days we've had highs in the 30's and 40's, and people don't even wear jackets.

Myron tells us the Gophers will have a Battle on their hands against Penn State- as in Talor Battle! He also says that Maturi is confident a new basketball practice facility can get done. Maturi believes a completion date of fall of 2013 is feasible, but he claims fundraising issues remain. Don't worry Joel, if you can't do it, the new AD who (hopefully) replaces you in June will. Finally, if you can't get enough Myron, The man, the myth, the legend Mr. P. Medcalf is also chatting all things Gopher hoops today at noon.

Marcus Fuller explains why the Gophers are going back to their Big starting lineup. Bob Sansevere asks a few questions, and forward Trevor Mbakwe gives a few answers. Gopher recruit Andre Hollins has been selected to play in a Miami all-star game. No word on whether he'll run the point or not.

Gopher hockey has another series of vital importance with Wisconsin this weekend, where the focus will be slowing down two high-scoring Badger defensemen. Roman also says that while forward Nico Sacchetti will be back this weekend, senior captain Jay Barriball remains doubtful. Oh how those "lower body injuries" can linger. Ryan Cardinal of Gopher Puck Live previews the Border Battle.

Ted Glover of Off Tackle Empire has an excellent Q & A with Gopher football head coach Jerry Kill.

FBT analyzes what we can expect from the tight ends in Jerry Kill's and Matt Limegrover's offense this fall. Hope those guys like blocking!

Jerry Kill talked to the MN Daily about speedy Edina wide receiver Devin Crawford-Tufts. He may be a bit unpolised, but Kill sound excited about the lightning fast incoming recruit (who remember was just rated as a 2 star prospect).

E! Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg grades Minnesota football's 2010 season. To the surprise of noone, Jeff Horton got a much higher grade than Tim Brewster- actually they couldn't have been more opposite.

Gopher wrestling squares off with #3 Iowa this Sunday at The Barn. Minnesota head coach J Robinson will be honored for his 25 years of service to the program. Thankfully the coach will be around a few more years at least as he signed a contract extension through 2014.
