According the Charley Walters, Trevor Mbakwe isn't considering entering the NBA draft at this point. He says he'll think about it after the NIT Tournament... I mean, after the season.

The men's indoor track and field team will attempt to win their 5th Big Ten Championship in a row this weekend.

John Anderson's Gopher Baseball squad will head to North Carolina this weekend for the Wake Forest Tournament. The team went 1-2 in last weekend's Big East/Big Ten Challenge, but Coach Anderson was mostly happy with how the pitching staff performed.

Jerry Kill is beginning to amass some nice recruits and convincing some other players to walk-on at the U. Future Gopher walk-on Dominic Schultz, a Port Huron, MI senior, attended Kill's Norther Illinois football camp last summer, and will follow the staff to Minnesota.

Former Gopher Bob Stein, who wasn't too fond of the Tim Brewster years, is a fan of Jerry Kill and expects the Gophers to be much improved.

By the way, has anyone noticed that after just 3 months on the job Jerry Kill managed to keep the commitments 5 of the 2010/2011 top 10 in-state football recruits and is well on his way to closing down the borders for 2011/2012? Didn't we hear a lot of lip-service about closing down borders in the past? It appears Kill is actually doing it... without talk.

And now, for your Friday viewing pleasure, a song that will be in your head the rest of the day... you're welcome.
