Plenty of great March Madness and Final Five action yesterday, but unfortunately none involving the Gophers.

Some fantastic stories on former Gopher football coaching legend Murray Warmath from Sid, Patrick Reusse, and Kent Youngblood.

Gopher wrestling was knocked down to 9th by Penn State after a mini duel yesterday.

Gopher defenseman Aaron Ness made it official yesterday, as he'll leave school with a year of eligibiltiy remaining to sign with the New York Islanders. Ness will report to the Isle's AHL affiliate, possibily as soon as today.

FBT has started his "Countdown to Spring" series for Gopher football, and thus far has talked about running backs and QB's.

Seven Gophers earned All-America honors at the Indoor Track and Field Championships.

After a surprising run to the Frozen Four last year, Bemidji State is at it again. Those pesky Beavers upset UNO last weekend, and Thursday pulled another surprise by knocking off Minnesota Duluth to advance to the semis of the Final Five. BSU plays Denver, and UND squares off with CC tonight at the X.

Enjoy March Madness, Final Five, and whatever else you have planned for the weekend. I still have all four of my Final Four left after 1 day, but I have a feeling my bracket will be busted wide open by Monday.
