Gopher Baseball took two of three from Purdue over the weekend at Target Field.
Game 1 - T.J. Oakes picked up the win as the Gophers used a 6-run, 5th inning to beat the Boilermakers 9-5. Redshirt freshman, Dan Olinger was the DH and delivered a bases clearing double in the fifth for three of his four RBIs on the day.
Game 2 - The Gopher bats went silent, Phil Isaksson gave up 5 runs in 4.2 innings and Purdue rolled to a 7-0 win. Cameron Perkins led Purdue at the plate going 3/3 with 4 RBIs and a HR, his second in the series.
Game 3 - Minnesota won the rubber-match on the arms of Austin Lubinsky, Billy Soule and Scott Matyas. Lubinsky pitched 4.2 innings giving up the only Purdue run, Soule three 3.0 scoreless innings to get the win and Matyas finished off the last 1.1 giving up 1 hit to record the save.
