Gopher senior forward Trevor Mbakwe has been invited to try out for the USA Mens' World University Games team. Per the story from Myron at the Strib:

Mbakwe is one of 22 collegiate players scheduled to participate in the training camp at the USA facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., which starts July 29 and ends Aug. 7. The final roster will consist of 12 players.

It'd be great experience for Mbakwe to make the team, and would only help in the development of a guy who needs to be a leader for the Gophers. The final roster of 12 will play in the Games Aug. 13-23 in Shenzhen, China.
