Let me be the first Gopher blog to welcome Nebraska to the Big Ten. We've all known it was coming but today we officially have 12 teams in the Big Ten (and 10 teams in the Big 12, I felt obligated to say that). And as of today we officially have a Legends and Leaders division.
And our network of Big Ten blogs just expanded as well. Our former SBN cousin is now our SBN brother, be sure to check out Corn Nation. They are an outstanding blog and one of the cornerstones of the SBN community. Their particular community is passionate and don't tell anyone but Corn Nation's founder is one of us. I'm not sure where Jon is from originally but he is currently a Minnesota resident.
- UPDATE: Josh Tauaefa has been granted a release from his scholarship.
- Interesting article on the humbleness of Jerry Kill compared to the brashness of Tim Brewster.
- In the spirit of welcoming Nebraska I'm going to link to Husker Corner's ranking of the Big Ten Wide Receiving corps. They have Minnesota ranked #8 but that may be largely due to lack of any depth, I do believe that when the season is over we will be higher.
- And the other theme of the day is WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? The NFL has issues. The NBA has bigger issues. Our State has issues. And soon our Federal Government will play out it's issues. I'm going to Wisconsin for the weekend. There they don't have the NBA either and their state is functioning.
