The Gophers report to camp in 4 days. Not that I have a calendar on my desk where I'm marking off each of the days until camp opens or anything. I wouldn't do that. Geez, you guys.
-Graham over at Off Tackle Empire asks: is this years crop of B1G QB's the best ever? His ultimate answer is no, because last year's group was ultimately so productive. But, I will have to say, if we're ranking the most anticipated QB classes ever in the B1G, this class would have to rank at or at least near the top.
-The B1G Football Dude thinks MarQueis Gray will be one of the most breakoutingest... one of the most outbreaking... ah crap... anyway, Gray will be among the breakout players in the B1G this year. Also, I like the B1G Football Dude, but Dude, if you're reading this, that background hurts my eyes a little.
-Kegs 'N Eggs discusses B1G team win totals as they are predicted by the gambling professionals against the ol' over/under. The Gophers aren't mentioned on the list, but Adam points out that you can make a tidy little profit if you believe OSU can win more than 3/4's of their games, and if you're willing to place a wager on it. (TDG Disclaimer: We do not condone gambling, as it ruins families, but we do sometimes find the odds-makers predictions intriguing.)
-FBT goes into detail on the Jonah Persig commitment. And if you don't read the article, at least click on the link to see the picture of the starting 5 on Blue Earth Area's bball team last year featuring Persig.
-New Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson took his whole staff and their families to see some wresting action on Monday night. Word is that Wilson is looking to get some tackling basics from Hulk Hogan... what's that? Hulk doesn't wrestle anymore? Perhaps from Bret "The Hitman" Hart? Goldberg? Ric Flair? /sound of crickets
-Congratulations to Chase Haviland, Aaron Hill, Adam Lueck, Ryan Orton, and Kim Royston. These young men are the members of the football team who made the B1G list of distinguished scholar athletes. Of those 5 players, 4 of them are from right here in Minnesota.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
