The opponents are slowly and steadily getting better. Toledo was better than American, Tennessee St was better than Toledo and Richmond is better than Tennessee State. And I haven't done the research yet but I think that our next opponent (some sad, satanic team from North Carolina) is probably better than Richmond; but we'll see.

This is without a doubt the best of our first four opponents. Richmond is an Atlantic 10 team which isn't quite a high-major conference but they are probably better than any mid-major conference. Based on KenPom rankings this is actually the best team we will play outside of the Big Ten season and our tournament next weekend in the Bahamas. It will be a good test for out new and improved defense as we face a team that is more balanced and scores efficiently.
A great test as we get ready for Duke. 4-0 should be the end result, but if we sleep on the Spiders we might get bit.
